When creating a new game character it can be difficult to get the color scheme right. Use a cold, calculating computer to eliminate the creative guess work!
By using the “Adjacent colors (3-colors)” filter and using “Fine Tune…” to tone down the brightness (a little), I created the following palette for a cartoon-ish character in Star Foxy VR:
I’ll be using these values in Substance Painter’s fill layers now that I better understand how masks work.
