How to bend balsa.

Shouldn’t this be an Off-Topic Tuesday post?! What possible relevance can bending balsa have to video games? All this week I’m going to blog about my homemade arcade cabinet. I hope you like it!

Here’s some insight as to how I achieved its unique contours…

In the video I mentioned the use of wood glue. It’s difficult to sand cured wood glue; it plasticizes. In any future builds I’ll use wood putty. Also I neglected to mention that the balsa should ultimately be treated with polyurethane. After such a treatment it is more durable than the MDF.
