PSA: SMB shares on NAS (and/or) NAS computer not visible in Windows 10 SOLVED

By | November 25, 2018

Are the computers you can successfully ping not visible in the Network window of Windows 10? Do you have Kaspersky Total Security? If so, check your Settings>Firewall>Networks> settings. Make sure that the network adapter connecting to your LAN is specified as a Local Network under Network Type. Of course, your other settings, such as Window’s “Advanced sharing settings,” must also be correctly configured. For me though, it was this one last setting in Kaspersky that kept me from connecting to nas4free for weeks.
