Update: Tutorial Tuesday! Get Mixamo Auto-Rig to work with 3ds Max Biped.

Unfortunately, Adobe bought out Mixamo and don’t know what the fuck they’re doing. They’ve eliminated .bip exports, meaning that this (and most other) methods for importing animations to Max no longer work. I hope to start a petition soon so that Adobe is forced to fix the error of their ways. Check back for links.

In a Freebie Friday’s post, I wrote about the miracle that is Mixamo’s Auto-Rigger. For a lot of #indiedev work, inoperability with 3ds Max’s biped animation system is a deal-breaker, however. Thankfully, there’s a script for that. And a tutorial. And I didn’t even have to be the one to make the tutorial!

So all of that is very awesome!
